The workshop proposes to introduce students to the first forms of written communication and, in particular, the Egyptian hieroglyphic writing. Pupils will learn about ideographic writing techniques and use documentary material to recognize the social structure of Egyptian civilization. The virtual guided tour in the Egyptian section is an integral part of this experience and will be aimed at the knowledge of civilization through artistic expressions, in particular sculpture, funeral rites (the mummies exhibited in this section are a great attraction) and religion. Young visitors will then be guided in the creation of a text using the various writing codes examined, reproducing names in hieroglyphics with pigments and stylus in a scroll.
