Guided digital tour accompanied by a specialist
A virtual tour through the main collections of the Archaeological Museum, which are among the most important in the world. We will discover the collection that Charles III of Bourbon inherited from Elisabetta Farnese, enriching this museum and that of Capodimonte. Starting from the masterpieces of the collection, the itinerary will illustrate the sculptures that come from the Baths of Caracalla, the famous Farnese Cup – protagonist of the collection of gems -, the group of the Tyrannicides and the section dedicated to Vesuvian antiquities, a fundamental nucleus for basic knowledge of this casket of beauty. Through the mosaics, the paintings and the section dedicated to the Villa dei Papiri, we will know all the aspects of Vesuvian archeology.
